BENEFITS
All horses…the young, the old, the non- competitive, the competitive, can benefit from massage and bodywork techniques.
Massage is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for these therapeutic purposes: providing caring touch, providing relaxation and rejuvenation, improving local and systemic circulation and reducing pain. Massage therapy helps us to trigger the horse’s body into getting itself back into peak health.
One of the biggest benefits is prevention. We can work together if there is a certain issue and go to a preventative maintenance program to find and work on the smaller problems before they become bigger issues. Massage also helps build trust and increases our emotional bond with the horse.
